Lesley Roberts works and plays in the spaces between culture, material, and imagination. She is a multi-disciplinary systems thinker, creative strategist, cultural producer, and community builder. Lesley is interested in the drivers of cultural and behavioral change that will help us build the future we want to live in.

Oceanparkstudio is the creative workshop–research studio–experimental space through which she offers strategic marketing, brand management, and cultural programming. She believes in the power of thoughtful ideas, creative vision, and clarity of purpose to achieve meaningful change and growth.

She is the founder of Material Encounters, lead for the So Cal chapter of Fibershed, and founder of Los Angeles Textile Month. Lesley holds a BA in Art History from UCLA and a certificate from UCLA Anderson’s Executive Education program. She is currently enrolled in CSU Chico’s Regenerative Agriculture certificate program and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, MA in Regenerative Design program.

Her recent curatorial project, Sympoiesis: making with, explored how clothing has shaped our relationship to the land, our bodies, and each other. She has been a speaker and moderator for UCLA Costume Design Department, UCLA Anderson Evolve Conference, CAL Product Stewardship Council, American Craft Council, CSUN, and various arts organizations. She will be speaking at LA Textile in September 2024 and Textile Society of America’s Fall 2024 Symposium on Speculative Futures for Fibershed.
